Excel Exhibition Centre

On 1st May 2010 ExCel officially opened its £165 million phase 2 expansion on time and on budget.

A 36,000 sq metre extension to the existing ExCel building now offers an additional 32,500 sq metre of flat exhibition space. This takes ExCel column-free exhibition space to 100,000 sq metres.

Marcoe Electrical Ltd was responsible for the installation of all secondary containment, installation and distribution of all power and lighting requirements and full testing and inspection.

In excess of 170 miles of cabling was used during the construction of the project.
ExCel Phase 2 offers a combination of office space, conference suites, concessions and 4 exhibition halls including a 5,000 seated auditorium.

Included within the 4 exhibition halls is a new 15 metre ‘dropped’ hall which offers increased space and scope for the existing Boat Show and other prestigious events.
