Olympic Aquatic Centre

Marcoe Electrical Ltd secured the prestigious contract for the Olympic Aquatic Centre and after 19 months the venue has been delivered to programme and in budget.

The building is the jewel of the Olympic Park, with its exquisite wave shape roof design. The building footprint of 16,000 sq metres encompasses the 50 metre Olympic competition pool, 50 metre training pool and the amazing Olympic diving pool.

With a seated capacity of 17,000, the two wing-like spectator stands cast an impressive site, greeting visitors as they enter the Olympic Park from the main entrance.

Marcoe Electrical Ltd were responsible for the installation of the primary and secondary cable containment systems, sub mains distribution cable network, distribution board installation, HD lighting installation, general lighting and power installations and full test and commissioning of the services.

With over 500 High Definition Floodlights installed in the 39 lighting pod structures, this will be the first Olympic Games in history to be captured and broadcast to the world in full High Definition.
